Here’s a quick list of what comes to mind:
- Overall willingness to look for technological solutions to everyday problems
- Has an interactive website that’s more than just a brochure for the church
- Takes online donations via the church website
- Takes online registrations and payments for events; even has an (up-to-date) events calendar on the church website
- Uses some form of web-based church management software (ChMS) that allows church staff, lay leaders, and congregants to connect online and manage the church all in one place
- Registers and checks in kids through their ChMS for maximum security
- Provides timely podcasts and/or video podcasts online to extend reach of the church
- Has a Facebook or other social media presence such as Twitter feed, MySpace, etc. and uses it to connect with members
- Provides small group lists online for people to sign up for; perhaps even allows people to view lists of current volunteer positions in need of filling
